TECAR therapy is a treatment in which a high-frequency current warms the tissues from the inside and supports their healing. We use it for, among other things, back pain, sports injuries and joint inflammation. At our clinic a session costs 150 PLN, and combined with manual therapy 210 PLN. We do not use it, among others, during pregnancy or in people with a pacemaker.

Questions about TECAR
Does TECAR therapy hurt?
It should not. During the treatment you feel warmth where the applicator is working, and the physiotherapist adjusts its intensity to how it feels to you. If the warmth becomes unpleasant, say so straight away — the intensity can be reduced during the treatment.
How is TECAR different from shockwave therapy?
TECAR works through heat generated in the tissues by a high-frequency current, while shockwave therapy uses an acoustic wave that stimulates repair processes, especially in long-standing problems with tendons and their attachments. We advise which method to choose after the examination at the consultation.
Can TECAR be combined with manual therapy?
Yes, it is a common combination. First TECAR warms and relaxes the tissues, then the physiotherapist works manually. A combined visit costs 210 PLN. Whether you need this combination is decided after the consultation and assessment of your problem.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
Wear comfortable clothes that make it easy to uncover the area to be treated, and take off any jewellery near it. Tell the physiotherapist about pregnancy, implanted devices, metal implants, illnesses and the medicines you take — this determines whether the treatment can be done safely.
